Mrs. Erika Keen Education: Illinois State University, Bachelor's of Social Work Aurora University, Master's of Social Work
Mrs. Keen has experience working in a residential treatment center prior to completing her MSW. She completed her internship in Plainfield School District 202. She worked at TMS for three years as a 7/8 social worker before becoming a 5/6 social worker at WBO.
Ms. Jennie Obrecht Education: Valparaiso University, Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology: Criminology Governors State University, Master of Social Work
Ms. Obrecht has experience working with children and adolescents with behavioral issues and mental health disorders. She has worked with kids in juvenile detention, at a crisis intervention agency, and in a school setting. Ms. Obrecht completed her internship in Joliet School District 204.
Mrs. Allison Acevedo Education: Illinois State University, Bachelor's in Education Lewis University, Mater's in School Counseling
Mrs. Acevedo started as an ELA teacher at WBO in 2009. in 2014, she started teaching Citizenship through Community Service, a Social Emotional Learning curriculum embedding service learning. She completed her practicum at WBO and her internship at Shepard High School. Mrs. Acevedo also runs a leadership and service club called LEAD Club. She is excited about joining the dedicated Student Services team to help all WBO students.
Mrs. Sara Lawson Education: Eastern Illinois University, Bachelor's of Psychology Governors State University, Master's of School Psychology
Ms. Lawson has been practicing school psychology for 14 years. 13 of those 14 years were spent working with students grades 5-12. Ms. Lawson worked at Troy Craughwell Elementary and Troy Shorewood Elementary for the 2016-2017 school year.
